At Rukio, your family's privacy is a fundamental priority. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data. By using Rukio, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We collect different types of information to provide and improve our service:
Account data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo through Supabase Auth, our authentication provider. If you sign up with Google or GitHub, we receive the basic information from your public profile.
Family data: Information about your family group, including member names, assigned roles (admin, member, child), preferences, and group settings.
Financial data: Transactions, budgets, savings goals, spending categories, and any other financial information you voluntarily enter into the platform.
Ruka conversations: Messages and queries you send to the AI assistant are stored to provide context and personalization in future interactions.
Usage data: Technical information about how you use the application, including pages visited, features used, and preferred language.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
Service delivery: Operating and maintaining Rukio's features, including management of your account, family group, and all platform modules.
Ruka personalization: Your family's data (transactions, budgets, goals, conversation history) is used so that the Ruka assistant can provide relevant and personalized responses and suggestions tailored to your family context.
Analytics and improvement: We use aggregated and anonymized data to understand how the platform is used, identify areas for improvement, and develop new features.
Communications: We send you service-related notifications, configured alerts, and occasionally information about platform updates.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We share information only with the following service providers essential to Rukio's operation:
Supabase Auth: Manages user authentication and sign-in. Supabase receives and stores your login credentials and basic profile data.
Supabase: Provides the database infrastructure where your family's data, transactions, and settings are securely stored.
Anthropic: Processes conversations with the Ruka assistant through its artificial intelligence model. Messages are sent to Anthropic to generate responses, but are not used to train their models.
All our providers are subject to data processing agreements and are committed to handling your information in accordance with appropriate privacy standards.
Rukio is designed for shared family use, which implies different levels of access depending on each member's role:
Admin: Has full access to all family group data, including all members' transactions, group settings, and member/invitation management.
Member: Can view and manage shared family group data, record their own transactions, and access common features.
Child: Has restricted access as configured by the admin. Certain financial data and features may not be visible to this role.
By joining a family group, you agree that the group admin will have visibility over the information you record within the shared family context.
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information:
- Data is transmitted via encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) at all times. - Passwords are managed through Supabase Auth with advanced security standards, including hashing and salting. - The database is hosted on secure infrastructure provided by Supabase with encryption at rest. - We perform periodic security reviews and keep our dependencies up to date. - Access to production data is restricted to authorized technical personnel.
Despite our efforts, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure. If you discover any vulnerability or unauthorized access, please contact us immediately.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: You may request a copy of all personal information we have stored about you and your family group.
Rectification: You may update or correct your personal information at any time through your account settings.
Export: You may request an export of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data. Please note that if you are the admin of a family group, you must transfer admin rights or delete the group before deleting your account.
Withdrawal of consent: You may stop using Ruka at any time and request the deletion of your conversation history.
To exercise any of these rights, you may contact us through the support section within the application.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, new features, or legal requirements.
When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the application or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
We recommend reviewing this policy periodically. Continued use of Rukio after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
